The thing I love most about my career is that I get to be creative, constantly challenged and interact with people while making them look and feel good about themselves. This industry is ever changing and there is so much opportunity for growth and education. I am always seeking learning tools and workshops for myself and my employees. I find Color Correction & styling for special events to be the most rewarding services. Weddings, Photo Shoots, Fashion Shows etc. keep you on your toes and allow for so much creativity. The bride or photographer have a vision and I get to bring an idea to life. It gives me an amazing sense of accomplishment and is my form of art. Color correction is rewarding because gives me a feeling of accomplishment when I turn around something that was probably weighing pretty heavily on the client’s self-esteem. It also doesn’t hurt that this service always ends in a very loyal client who trusts your abilities 100%.
I’ve always been imaginative and artistic, so it was only natural that I go into a career where I can express my creative talents. Forming a masterpiece using my client as a canvas is the most personally rewarding thing I can do. I adore crafting perfect color combinations, tailoring a haircut to compliment a client’s face, and applying flawless make-up that can reveal a stunning transformation. It’s truly amazing what joy you can bring to people’s lives with the CORRECT haircut or color. I thrive on educating my clients on products and techniques that can help achieve or maintain their customized look. My forte though would have to be special event hair and cosmetics, whether it’s for a bride, prom, or a photo shoot. In fact, I’ve even competed in several national competitions in hair design, where I’ve gained recognition and amazing experience. But above all else I love the friendships and amazing people that have let me become part of their lives through my love of beauty. I’m truly blessed.
I have always been fascinated with hair, so it only made sense that I get into the field of cosmetology. I relish the feeling of creating that perfect look that causes my client to feel like a star. Granted I love the fun and funky styles that have come and gone over the years, but I am always continuing to educate myself and my staff on the latest trends and techniques. I pride myself on being a versatile stylist that can easily accommodate any client’s taste. The relationships that you form over the years with clients and other professionals in the field are they main reason I’ve continued on this career path. I’ve always been a people person and the wide variety of people I’ve met and learned from over the years are the most precious gifts this career has given me.
